A supposedly evenly matched affair turned into a blowout before Kendrick Lamar made his way down to the field. The Eagles dominated from whistle to whistle in a game that easily could’ve ended with a 40-point margin of victory. Below are the key takeaways from Philadelphia’s performance and Kansas City’s no-show.

1) Kansas City’s first offseason priority is the offensive line

The Chiefs knew that the offensive line could be an issue in the Super Bowl, but no one expected it to completely torpedo their chances of success. Philadelphia’s defensive line harried Patrick Mahomes all day, forcing off-kilter throws from a constantly collapsing pocket while amassing six sacks.

This is the second Super Bowl in which the offensive line cost Kansas City a real shot at victory. Left guard Mike Caliendo, in the lineup because Joe Thuney was forced to play left tackle, was tortured for much of the contest. Jawaan Taylor didn’t fare much better at right tackle. The Chiefs should be in the market for top tackles throughout the offseason.

2) The Eagles are built to contend for the next five years

Both sides of the ball are built for the future in Philadelphia. The entire starting defensive line is under the age of thirty, and the secondary features two rookie starters, Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, who performed at an insanely high level as youngsters.

Offensively, only two starters are over thirty. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and AJ Brown, the cornerstones of the attack, are either 26 or 27. The offensive line is similarly young, ensuring that the unit will maintain their level of play for as long as they stick together. This team will be in the title picture for at least the next half-decade.

3) The Chiefs will have a solid stable of weapons in 2025

Mahomes hasn’t had much help outside of Travis Kelce for the last couple of years, but Kansas City should feel confident in their stable of wide receivers heading into next season. First-round pick Xavier Worthy came on strong at the end of the year, concluding with a 157-yard, two-touchdown Super Bowl explosion.

In addition to Worthy, the injured Rashee Rice should be at full health for the start of next season. Rice was downright fantastic in limited action in 2024, notching 288 yards and two touchdowns in only four games. This duo will provide a much-needed boost to Kansas City’s offense.

Lakers-Jazz Same Game Parlay

The Super Bowl parlay didn’t exactly go to plan. Travis Kelce didn’t do us any favors, but we’re back on the horse with the NBA’s Monday nightcap. Let’s get into it.

1) Luka Doncic Under 26.5 Points (-125)

The hype around the trade has juiced this line up pretty well. Doncic hasn’t played basketball since late December, and if the rumors about his conditioning are to be believed, it’s hard to see him playing a lot of minutes here. Los Angeles should also win this game handily, a script that lends itself to Doncic sitting for much of the fourth quarter, limiting his scoring opportunities.

2) Isaiah Collier Over 8.5 Points (-111)

This is a pretty low line, and Collier will have ample opportunity to cash it. The Jazz have been leaning on him to the tune of 30 minutes a game over their last ten contests. The Lakers have been a decent matchup for opposing point guards, ranking in the middle of the pack in terms of points allowed.

Collier has cashed this line in seven of his last eight games, and his minutes should allow him to make it eight of his last nine.

3) Luka Doncic Under 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-111)

This is an obvious pair with the first leg of the parlay. All of the reasoning applied to the points pick applies here. Additionally, the Jazz have been surprisingly good at defending the three-point line, holding opponents to a 35.7 shooting percentage from beyond the arc, the 11th-best mark in the NBA.

Warriors-Bucks Game Pick

Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler will lead the Warriors into enemy territory to face the Milwaukee Bucks, sans Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite Curry’s injury designation, Golden State will enter as a 6-point favorite.

It’s hard to see why the Warriors aren’t even bigger favorites. The Bucks are missing their best player while being on the second leg of a back-to-back. Milwaukee is 2-6 against the spread on the back end of two consecutive games while boasting a 6-7 record ATS as underdogs.

Golden State is the better team through and through here. They should survive a big game from Damian Lillard and successfully pull away in the late third quarter to cover what should be an eight or nine-point spread.
