💰 Underdog Victories, Injured Stars...It Is The NBA Playoffs!
And it's anyone's game...
Oh boy, this weekend's NBA playoff games were a real doozy! It's almost like the basketball gods were playing a cruel game of "who can get injured the most." The stars were dropping like flies, and not in a good way. Ja Morant and Giannis Antetokounmpo both suffered injuries that ranged from concerning to downright devastating.
Here’s what we've got today:
NBA Playoff Picture: Weekend (and Monday) Recap
NBA Lines: April 18 & 19
Game Watch: Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns (NBA)
NBA Clips: Ouch Charlie, that really hurts!
The NBA Playoff Picture
Eastern Conference Field
In the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics dominated their Game 1 matchup, making us wonder if they're even the lower seeds. The Atlanta Hawks need to readjust quickly if they want a shot at Round 2.
The Brooklyn Nets go 0-2 against the Philidelphia 76ers, led by Joel Embiid & Tyrese Maxey.
The real shocker came from the New York Knicks, who pulled off a road win against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who knew that the Knicks would be the ones to upset the apple cart?
Western Conference Field
In the Western Conference, the Sacramento Kings are finally giving their fans something to cheer about with two HUGE wins against the defending champion Golden State Warriors. #lightthebeam
The Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers managed to take down their opponents on the road, showing that the Hollywood treatment extends to the NBA playoffs.
The real drama, though, came from the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat. The Timberwolves got absolutely trounced by the Denver Nuggets, while losing superstar, Ja Morant. With Giannis exiting early, the Heat pulled off an upset against the Milwaukee Bucks.
NBA Playoff Lines: April 18th & 19th
Game Watch: Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns (NBA)
It's official - the Clippers have thrown a wrench in everyone's playoff predictions with a big win over the Suns in Game 1. And now, as we gear up for Game 2, the odds are in the Suns' favor once again. But hey, we all know what happened the last time they were 7.5-point favorites...
The Clippers shocked the world and took home the Win as +250 underdogs. They are showing that they are not scared of the Suns.
And what about the over/under set at 225 total points? It's like a game of basketball bingo - will we hit the over, the under, or somewhere in between? Our gut says take the over as both teams are capable of scoring some serious points.
