NBA Quick Hitters

🔹 Sharp Money Alert: Not a lot of Wednesday line movement, but the Celtics have fallen from a 4-point favorite to 3.5 against the Pistons. Boston is wracked with injuries, and a game in Toronto last night won’t do them any favors. We like Detroit to cover and perhaps even win outright.
🔹 Odds Boost to Grab: Sleeper Picks is currently offering a 100% deposit match up to $1,500, compared to a 50% deposit match from Underdog. If you need a new book, Sleeper is worth a gander.
🔹 Trap Game Warning: The Knicks are consistently darlings of the public, and they’re taking 74% of the money as 10-point favorites against the 76ers. With three Philadelphia bench players and Joel Embiid out, we’ll ride with the public and New York.

Michigan State vs. Maryland Pick

The Spartans will head over to the Old Line State to take on the Terrapins in another matchup of top-25 teams. Here are the odds for what figures to be a close one.

Michigan State’s Impact Players

  • G Jaden Akins: Akins leads the Spartans in scoring with 13 points per game. He’ll need to limit turnovers as the lead ball handler for State as he faces Maryland’s perimeter aficionado Ja’Kobi Gillespie.

  • Cs Szymon Zapala and Carson Cooper: These two share the center spot pretty equally, so both will be tasked with slowing down Derik Queen. Without a solid defensive effort from both, the Spartans will be in for a long night.

Maryland’s Impact Players

  • C Derik Queen: Queen has been nothing short of elite this season, pacing the Terrapins in points while providing one of the best paint presences in the nation. Everything Maryland does runs through Queen, and he’ll be counted on to take advantage of this plus matchup.

  • G Ja’Kobi Gillespie: Gillespie can do it all, and he’ll need to. Shutting down Akins is nearly impossible, but a strong defensive performance while providing his normal 15 points would nearly guarantee a Maryland win.

ATS Stats To Know

  • The Spartans are 3-0 ATS as road underdogs

  • The Spartans are 4-1 ATS against other ranked teams

  • Maryland is 10-6 ATS as home favorites

  • Maryland is 4-2 ATS against other ranked teams

  • Maryland is 11-8 ATS with more than three days’ rest

We’ll take Maryland to cover in this one. They’ve got plenty of rest and are on their home court against a Michigan State team that should struggle to score throughout the contest.

NBA Player Prop Parlay

This is where the heater really started. If you bet ten bucks on our last 4-legger, you returned $113. Special thanks goes out to Luka Doncic’s under points, a bet that has hit all four times we’ve played it.

Enough patting ourselves on the back. It’s time to try for a second sweep in a row.

Quentin Grimes Over 12.5 Points (-122)

This one’s quite a pull isn’t it? Grimes has played a massive minutes load for the Sixers, and he’s been hot from deep lately, shooting 50% from three in each of his last two games. The Knicks have allowed a ton of points to opposing shooting guards, making this even more appealing.

Jalen Williams Over 1.5 3-Pointers Made (-130)

Williams sees consistent volume from deep, and he’s shot 47% from three over his last three games. The Nets allow their opponents to shoot well from beyond the arc too. We like this one, despite the slightly unfavorable odds.

Keyonte George Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-148)

If you couldn’t tell, we like betting on 3-pointers made. George has seen well over 30 minutes per game recently and has improved his deep ball, shooting 37% from distance in his last ten. The Kings are the second-worst team in the NBA at stopping the three and give up a ton of open looks to shooting guards. Lock it in.

Harrison Barnes Over 11.5 Points (-114)

We also like betting overs. The Spurs have been soulless on offense since losing Wemby, and the shots have to go somewhere. Barnes has been the most consistent Spur when compared against his line, so we’ll back him here.
